4 Tips to Optimize Video Ads for Mobiles

When you think we are already in the digital age with all the social networks dominating the web, think again. More are coming that will have you keeping up with the pace. It’s not another social network planning to overthrow YouTube or Facebook. What this is about are mobile devices and videos. Yes, this is about smart phones and how the majority of your viewers are using it for their viewing leisure.

According to recent reports released by comscore, 20% of videos are viewed on mobile devices and 29% are on tablets. These statistics must be awake up call for brands to the inevitable fact that consumers are going mobile, most especially when it comes to video ads.
Because mobile viewers are much engaged on their mobiles, it is best to know how brands can optimize their videos for mobile users.

1.      Tiny texts look impossibly unreadable on mobile devices. This is pretty obvious since videos will shrink down in size, even the size of the palm of a person’s hand. If your video looks so tiny on desktops, how will that look on mobile phones? It’s simple logic. If you ever felt it necessary to use captions or subtitles, be reminded of this.

2.      Use the highest audio level. Audio must be clear and audible. Why? For the obvious reason that there are a lot of factors that will hinder a person from hearing what your video has to say. The mobile device might be of low quality or small that the sounds emitting from it are high pitched or the user might be on the go and surrounded by honking of cars or chattering crowd.

3.      Links should be on the video description. If you want to have a higher chance of getting your links clicked, make it easy for users to do so. In short, link laden annotations won’t work, if it’s on mobile devices. Links that they click once they scroll down is better and more convenient.

4.      Put in close up the important details. When you are emphasizing an important detail on the video, make sure that it is mobile-friendly. Simply put, you should make it appear bigger even on desktops to make sure that it looks readable or viewable.
Mobile devices are the in thing in consuming digital online media. Videos are no longer won by views alone but on how they look on mobile phones. However, views are still top priority when it comes to branding. So if you still want to opt purchasing your social media influence, view this site.
